Vernors Ginger Ale
Vernors Ginger Ale - Ginger Beer/Ales - Soda Pop
After being down with the flu on Thursday and Friday I had plenty of Vernors on hand. Nothing settles your stomach better. Tonight I passed on dinner and made a Boston Cooler. Just vanilla ice cream and Vernors blended together. I haven't had one in years.

Sounds interesting. Never tasted. Ginger Ale, mmh.
My mom has always loved Vernor's. It's the only ginger ale she'll drink. It used to be impossible to find in Oregon, so about 15 years ago when we went to Michigan, she bought a ton of it and put it all in a styrofoam cooler. Then she wrapped the cooler with duct tape. Well, when we got to the airport, the guard guy asked what was in the cooler. My mom got all flustered and couldn't spit out "vernor's," so he made us open up the cooler and show him. It was really funny. Then they gave us some rubber bands to keep the cooler closed. Yeah. Rubber bands.

I know only Canada Dry ginger ale (a very famous brand in Japan). Is a Boston Cooler something like ice-cream soda? I love ice-cream soda/cola/coffee. :-)

Vernors is only a little like Canada Dry. It has a very strong ginger taste and it isn't dry. When you come to Arizona, I'll have some waiting for you.

And when he finally walks in, you two will be drunken. :-) That's as if he was Santa Claus, you try to catch a view of him as a child, but the you fell asleep + the presents where there anyway.
Borya - I only wish you could get drunk on Vernors - but it's a really good soda-pop! Much different than other ginger ale.
I've never had a "Boston Cooler" - sounds pretty good.
Matt, have you ever had a "Reed's Ginger Beer"?? Really intense ginger flavor! I'll take a Vernor's any day - but the Reed's is good stuff too!
