Bodum tea pot

Sorry for being so out of the loop lately. I’ve had trouble with my internet service so I never know when I’ll be able to connect.

After waiting far too long, I picked up a Bodum Assam teapot. Yet another great recommendation from Ottmar. I chose the 1-liter version, as I’m the only tea drinker in the house. What a great item! The concept is so simple it makes you wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself. Brew the tea to taste and push down the plunger to stop the process. There’s no need to remove the leaves from the pot before you drink.

Another great feature is that the tea stays at just the right temperature while it’s in the pot. I took an hour to drink one brew and the last cup was nearly as warm as the first. Of course it was 105 degrees outside so that may have helped.

I picked up two small black cups to go along with the pot. They’re nothing special but I thought they matched well. Two cups because you never know if someone may stop by and like some tea. Hey, it could happen. Just call first so I can tidy up a bit.
