Is this from Ikea??? :-D Off to Ikea!! Eh... I confess, Ikea is one of my most favourite shops (the other one is HEMA). My house is a kind of "Ikea showroom" :-P Kym.
My apologies for not posting the name of the artist. It was past by bedtime and I had to take apart the frame to view the name.
Kym,
I will have to go back to Ikea once the craze dies off. It was like being in line at an amusement park, people crammed together and no way of getting away from them.
We have an Ikea here in Houston and I was there last week. I love that place and I too would like to have my whole house be full of furniture from Ikea. Ours just doubled in size a few months ago and I didn't dare go till all the hoopla had died down.
Fengshui and Mandalas. His art seems to be very oriental orientated. He's German indeed. Born 1947. What do you want to know? I enjoy strolling thru Ikea and looking around. Some of the items I buy.
"Tusche" is known as indian ink or water-colour. We did that at school quite often and I have to admit that I do miss that kind of painting. On his web site it is only said that Holitzka is interested for more than thirty years in "philosophic-spiritual questions". But it's obvious that he's focusing on Far Eastern philosopies.

On a first view it looks like one of OL's Zen cards.
